Responsibilities
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of complex civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, and water systems.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal engineering codes and regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive site inspections and quality control reviews to ensure project specifications are met.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, bid specifications, and engineering calculations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and city departments to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the professional development of the engineering staff.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering and municipal project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
