Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Conduct traffic studies and recommend solutions for congestion mitigation
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and safety standards
- Lead cross-functional teams including environmental specialists and urban planners
- Analyze data using GIS and CAD systems to optimize transportation networks
- Present technical reports to stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of transportation engineering experience with TxDOT or equivalent agency
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated project management for infrastructure projects over $10M
- Strong knowledge of federal/state transportation regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
