Responsibilities
- Oversee design and implementation of highway/bridge projects in Bexar County
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT standards and federal regulations
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and contractor relationships
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze infrastructure data
- Coordinate with municipal partners and community stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Develop innovative solutions for urban mobility challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT design manuals and procedures
- Experience with federal grant applications (e.g., STP, CMAQ)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
