Responsibilities
- Lead the design, review, and management of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, bridges, and stormwater systems.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver projects on time and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and facilitate project approvals.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, technical specifications, and construction documents using industry-standard software.
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, preferably within municipal or public works sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports and presenting to diverse audiences.
