Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Analyze traffic data and recommend safety improvements for Memphis metropolitan area
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with local government agencies and contractors during project execution
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations and standards
- Manage project budgets and timelines using engineering software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience
- Tennessee Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic simulation software
- Strong analytical skills with experience in traffic flow analysis
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
