Responsibilities
- Oversee design and implementation of $50M+ highway and public transit projects in San Antonio metropolitan area
- Coordinate with federal, county, and municipal agencies to ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead traffic flow optimization initiatives reducing congestion by 20%+ citywide
- Manage infrastructure rehabilitation projects using advanced GIS and BIM technologies
- Develop innovative multimodal transportation solutions for growing urban population
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and mitigation planning
- Mentor junior engineers on state-of-the-art transportation engineering practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic simulation software (VISSIM)
- Proven record of delivering complex projects on budget and ahead of schedule
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT design standards and FHWA regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
