Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the planning, design, and construction oversight of municipal infrastructure projects, including water and sewer system upgrades and road rehabilitation.
- Technical Analysis: Conduct detailed hydraulic and structural analyses to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external contractors, facilitating clear communication and project milestones.
- Inspection & QA/QC: Perform regular site inspections and quality assurance/quality control reviews to ensure work meets design specifications and safety regulations.
- Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, construction specifications, and contract documents with precision.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to environmental regulations and permit requirements set forth by regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Missouri is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering, preferably within a municipal or public works environment.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovative solutions to infrastructure challenges.
