Responsibilities
- Lead the design, review, and management of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways, water systems, and stormwater management.
- Ensure all engineering plans and specifications comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to monitor project progress and quality control.
- Prepare detailed reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation for public review.
- Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and community stakeholders to gather requirements and address concerns.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and technical staff within the department.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, preferably within the public sector or municipal government.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, traffic engineering principles, and construction materials.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
