Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Enforce compliance with federal regulations, including NIST, FedRAMP, and HIPAA standards.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans to mitigate cyber threats effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security protocols into IT infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on security best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, preferably within a federal or government environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
