Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Lead incident response efforts to mitigate security breaches effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Certification: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the government sector.
- Proficiency with network security protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies.
- Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance requirements.
