Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive facility inspections and audits for industrial compliance
- Analyze environmental data to identify violations and recommend corrective actions
- Develop and implement pollution prevention programs for regulated facilities
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and enforcement documentation
- Collaborate with legal teams on regulatory enforcement proceedings
- Provide technical guidance to regulated facilities and local agencies
- Monitor emerging environmental regulations and policy changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of environmental compliance experience
- Valid Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Environmental Specialist certification
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis software (e.g., EQuIS, ArcGIS)
- Strong understanding of federal (EPA) and state (Part 201, 213) environmental regulations
- Excellent written communication skills for technical documentation
- Ability to travel 25% for site inspections across Southeast Michigan
- Valid Michigan driver's license
