Responsibilities
- Analyze complex environmental data to inform policy recommendations for Southern California
- Develop and implement regional sustainability strategies aligned with state climate goals
- Coordinate with local government agencies and community stakeholders on environmental programs
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state oversight committees
- Lead interdepartmental task forces addressing emerging environmental challenges
- Manage grant programs supporting green infrastructure and pollution reduction projects

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive environmental policy experience at government/nonprofit level
- Expertise in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and regulatory frameworks
- Advanced data analysis skills with proficiency in GIS and statistical modeling
- Proven track record of developing successful environmental policy initiatives
- Strong project management skills with ability to oversee multi-year programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for technical and public audiences
- Valid California driver's license and ability to travel within the region
