Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify and mitigate potential security threats in real-time.
- Enforce federal security policies and ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP standards.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Manage and maintain security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff and assist in the development of incident response plans.
- Document security configurations, incidents, and audit findings accurately and thoroughly.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance (required for federal roles).
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal cybersecurity or IT support.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC.
- Strong proficiency with network security tools, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to stakeholders.
