Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal network infrastructure, ensuring 99.9% uptime and compliance with NIST standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to protect sensitive government data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and upgrade hardware and software solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff and contractors.
- Respond to and resolve critical system outages and security incidents with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent military experience).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT systems administration, cybersecurity, or network engineering within the federal sector.
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or eligibility to obtain).
- Proficiency with federal network protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, SIPRNet) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or GSEC are highly preferred.
