Responsibilities
- System Design: Lead the architectural design of complex federal systems, ensuring alignment with government standards and long-term strategic goals.
- Security & Compliance: Implement rigorous security protocols and ensure full compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other federal regulatory frameworks.
- Legacy Modernization: Oversee the migration and modernization of legacy federal systems to cloud-native environments.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with policymakers, technical leads, and external vendors to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers and architects, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and proactively identify bottlenecks to ensure 99.9% uptime for critical services.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in software architecture, specifically within the public sector or federal environment.
- Certifications: Professional certification such as TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or CISSP is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java, .NET, or Python, with deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and microservices architecture.
- Clearance: Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC or DV) is essential.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
