Responsibilities
- Design and architect secure, scalable, and high-performance IT solutions compliant with FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST standards.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for federal government contracts, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to protect sensitive federal data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, developers, and program managers, to drive project success.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Prepare technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system requirements, and transition plans.
- Ensure all solutions meet strict security clearance and accessibility requirements for federal clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems architecture, specifically within the federal or defense sector.
- Expert knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with a focus on security and compliance.
- Strong understanding of network security protocols, encryption standards, and identity management (IAM).
- Experience with DevSecOps practices and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to senior government officials.
