We are looking for a visionary Senior Systems Architect to join our elite team supporting critical federal missions. While our primary operational hubs are in Texas, Apex Federal Solutions is expanding our strategic presence in the UK. In this position, you will bridge the gap between complex US Federal requirements and international best practices. You will lead the technical architecture for large-scale government contracts, ensuring security compliance and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable architectures for federal contracts within the Texas region and global outposts.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for federal hiring now projects, ensuring adherence to FedRAMP and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate federal stakeholder requirements into technical specifications.
- Lead technical strategy sessions to drive innovation in US Federal IT infrastructure.
- Ensure data security and compliance with all relevant federal regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers in secure coding practices for Texas-based deployments.
Qualifications
- Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) is required for federal roles.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Texas or US-based federal government contracting environments.
- Proven expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines for hiring now technical projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex federal concepts to diverse audiences.
