Role Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, security compliance, and federal standards. You will lead technical architecture reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure all deliverables meet stringent regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design for federal modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with US Federal standards and UK GDPR.
- Ensure the security and integrity of federal data systems through rigorous risk assessment and compliance auditing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and business analysts, to define technical requirements and solution strategies.
- Oversee the implementation of Agile and DevOps methodologies to improve delivery velocity and system stability.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Conduct code reviews and technical architecture assessments to maintain high code quality.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Active Top Secret (SC) or Secret clearance is mandatory. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or TOGAF 9 are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in federal IT environments or as a systems architect for large-scale government projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Language: Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
