Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex GIS applications, web services, and data models to support county infrastructure and assessment functions.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis, create high-quality cartographic products, and develop interactive web maps for internal stakeholders and the public.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data with other enterprise systems and databases.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on GIS best practices, software utilization, and data standards.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of geospatial datasets through rigorous quality assurance and data management protocols.
- Translate complex technical requirements into scalable GIS solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, software development, and database management.
- Expert proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, and the ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
- Strong working knowledge of Python (PyScripter, ArcPy) and SQL for data manipulation.
- Experience with web mapping technologies (ArcGIS Online, WMS, WFS) and spatial database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
