Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational mission
- Develop compelling grant proposals with compelling narratives and measurable outcomes
- Manage relationships with 50+ foundation and government funders
- Collaborate with program teams to gather impact data and success stories
- Oversee grant reporting and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate grant tracking databases
- Mentor junior staff on proposal development best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience in nonprofit sector
- Proven track record of securing $1M+ in annual grant funding
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Expertise in Detroit's philanthropic landscape preferred
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with attention to detail
