Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports tailored to diverse funding sources
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Coordinate with department heads to gather program data and impact metrics
- Manage grant application deadlines and maintain compliance documentation
- Analyze funding trends and prepare quarterly funding strategy reports
- Mentor junior staff on grant development best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Portfolio demonstrating successful federal/state/foundation applications
- Expertise in budget development and compliance reporting (CFDA, OMB)
- Advanced proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and grant databases
- Credentials like GPC or CFRE highly valued
- Deep understanding of Kansas nonprofit landscape and community needs
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
