Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and pursue relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, private, and corporate sources
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals, budgets, and reports aligned with funder requirements
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and key stakeholders to maximize funding potential
- Manage grant application processes from research to submission with meticulous attention to detail
- Analyze funding trends and provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications, reporting deadlines, and funding outcomes
- Collaborate with program staff to develop compelling project narratives and impact metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 3+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven track record of securing $500k+ annually
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Deep understanding of grant research databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and compliance requirements
- Experience managing grant budgets and reporting for diverse funding sources
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software
