Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations
- Develop compelling grant proposals and narratives tailored to funders' priorities
- Manage grant reporting and compliance requirements for 20+ active funders
- Collaborate with program teams to develop budgets and impact metrics
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce CRM and grant management systems
- Represent the foundation at funder meetings and networking events
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
- 5+ years of grant writing experience with nonprofit or foundation
- Proven track record of securing $1M+ in annual funding
- Expertise with federal, state, and private grant applications
- Advanced proficiency in Salesforce and grant management software
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with portfolio samples
- Knowledge of Baltimore's nonprofit landscape preferred
