Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private grant opportunities aligned with Orlando Health's strategic priorities
- Develop compelling, data-driven grant proposals exceeding $500K in value
- Cultivate relationships with program officers and funding partners
- Manage grant reporting requirements and compliance documentation
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices
- Analyze funding trends and recommend strategic grant portfolio adjustments
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to develop fundable project narratives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of successful grant writing experience in healthcare/nonprofit
- Track record of securing $1M+ in annual grant funding
- Expertise with federal (HRSA, NIH), state, and foundation grant processes
- Exceptional writing/editing skills with portfolio samples required
- Advanced proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Instrumentl, GrantStation)
- Experience managing complex grant budgets and reporting requirements
