Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities from foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals tailored to specific funder requirements
- Develop compelling narratives and budgets that align with organizational goals and funder priorities
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders through regular communication and reporting
- Collaborate with program staff to gather data and ensure proposals reflect community impact
- Manage grant application calendars and maintain accurate funding records in CRM systems
- Conduct post-submission reporting and stewardship activities for funded projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional grant writing experience with $500K+ secured annually
- Proven success with federal/state grants (SAM.gov) and foundation proposals
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills for budget development and financial reporting
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and grant databases
- Deep understanding of nonprofit funding cycles and compliance requirements
- Portfolio demonstrating successful grant applications and awards
