Responsibilities
- Research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and corporate sponsors
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential funding partners
- Manage grant application processes including budgets, reporting, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with program teams to identify funding opportunities and align proposals with organizational goals
- Analyze funding trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic planning
- Maintain accurate grant tracking databases and reporting systems
- Mentor junior staff on best practices in grant development and stewardship
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven track record of securing $500K+ annually
- Demonstrated success with federal, state, and private foundation applications
- Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills
- Deep knowledge of Los Angeles nonprofit landscape and funding priorities
- Proficiency with grant management software (e.g., Salesforce NPSP, GrantStation)
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
