Responsibilities
- Research, write, and submit high-impact grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies
- Develop compelling narratives and budgets for diverse funding opportunities (>$1M annually)
- Cultivate relationships with program directors to align funding requests with organizational goals
- Manage grant application calendars and ensure timely submission of all proposals
- Analyze funding trends and identify new revenue streams in North Texas
- Maintain accurate grant databases and reporting compliance for current funders
- Mentor junior staff on grant writing best practices and compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, English, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional grant writing experience with proven track record of securing $500K+ annually
- Exceptional writing skills with portfolio demonstrating successful grant narratives
- Deep knowledge of Fort Worth philanthropic landscape and major foundations
- Proficiency in grant databases (e.g., Candid, GrantStation) and budget modeling tools
- Certified Grant Writer (GPC) designation or equivalent professional certification
- Experience managing federal/state grant applications with 100% compliance record
- Ability to translate complex program metrics into compelling funding requests
