Responsibilities
- Research and identify federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals
- Develop and write persuasive grant proposals, reports, and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with program teams to gather data and impact metrics for submissions
- Manage grant application calendar and ensure timely submission of all materials
- Build and maintain relationships with foundation representatives and funding partners
- Analyze grant outcomes and prepare stewardship reports for funders
- Maintain accurate records of funding opportunities and application processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional grant writing experience with proven success rate
- Portfolio demonstrating $2M+ in secured grants within the past 3 years
- Exceptional writing skills with ability to translate complex programs into compelling narratives
- Proficiency in grant management software (e.g., GrantStation, Salesforce NPSP)
- Deep understanding of Hawaii's nonprofit funding landscape preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in remote environment
- Strong attention to detail and deadline management capabilities
