Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research to identify new grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations and corporations.
- Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals and narrative sections that align with funder priorities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure strict adherence to submission deadlines.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data and translate program activities into compelling case statements.
- Prepare and submit required reports and follow-up correspondence to maintain positive relationships with existing funders.
- Assist in the creation of annual development plans and strategies to increase fundraising revenue.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit communications.
- Proven track record of securing funding from diverse sources, including private foundations and government agencies.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze funding priorities and tailor applications accordingly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud, or similar).
