Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a robust information security strategy aligned with UK Government and ISO 27001 standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for critical government systems.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and resolution of security breaches and cyber incidents.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to GDPR, NIS2 Regulations, and other relevant data protection laws.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with technical teams, auditors, and senior leadership to drive security culture.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Information Security role within the Public Sector or Critical Infrastructure.
- Certifications: Possession of CISSP, CISM, or NCSC GCIH is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of network security, cloud security (Azure/GCP), and identity management.
- Communication: Excellent ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Legal: Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
