Responsibilities
- Lead System Design: Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions for enterprise systems, databases, and applications.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior analysts and engineers, conducting code reviews and providing technical guidance to ensure best practices in software development and system architecture.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement upgrades to enhance efficiency, security, and scalability of county IT infrastructure.
- Data Management: Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Project Management: Oversee project lifecycles from initiation to deployment, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various county departments to understand operational needs and deliver tailored technological solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or SQL, along with experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and database management systems.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Government Experience: Previous experience working in a government or public sector environment is highly desirable.
