Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and Level 3 support for hardware, software, and network issues across various departments.
- System Management: Monitor server health, manage backups, and perform system updates to ensure 99.9% uptime for county applications.
- Security Compliance: Enforce IT security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and manage access controls to protect sensitive government data.
- Project Implementation: Assist in the deployment of new hardware, software rollouts, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation, including incident reports and standard operating procedures.
- Training: Mentor junior IT staff and conduct training sessions for county employees on new software and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or CCNA preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, and network troubleshooting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Availability: Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support critical system maintenance windows.
