Responsibilities
- Design and implement geospatial databases and mapping solutions using ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and Python (ArcPy).
- Perform complex spatial analysis and statistical modeling to support county planning, environmental, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop interactive web maps and custom web applications for public access and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all GIS platforms and datasets.
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for GIS tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineers, planners, and policy makers to translate data into actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, software development, or data visualization.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Desktop/Pro and scripting languages such as Python.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database management principles.
- Experience with web mapping technologies (e.g., ArcGIS Online, GeoServer, Leaflet).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
