Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of complex information systems and technical solutions for state agencies.
- Conduct thorough requirements gathering and feasibility studies to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and subject matter experts, to ensure technical specifications align with business needs.
- Provide expert troubleshooting and technical support for existing systems, identifying root causes and recommending permanent fixes.
- Document system architecture, workflows, and technical manuals to ensure knowledge transfer and system maintainability.
- Monitor system performance and security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT consulting.
- Proven experience with database management (SQL) and scripting languages (Java, Python, or PowerShell).
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- State government experience is highly preferred.
