Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software solutions to support municipal operations and improve data accessibility for city departments.
- Analyze current IT systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend innovative solutions that align with government standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure all applications meet strict security compliance, data privacy regulations, and IT governance policies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Strong experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) as required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
