Responsibilities
- System Analysis & Optimization: Conduct comprehensive system analysis and design to improve the efficiency and reliability of state government applications.
- Project Leadership: Lead technical projects from conception through deployment, ensuring adherence to state timelines and budget constraints.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain rigorous security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data in compliance with Virginia state and federal regulations.
- Traffic Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and provide expert consultation.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and standard operating procedures.
- Training & Support: Provide advanced technical training and support to state staff, fostering a culture of digital literacy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, network engineering, or software development within a government or enterprise environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or .NET; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PMP, or CISSP are a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and government officials.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Virginia state procurement and compliance standards is required.
