What You'll Do:
As the ISSO, you will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical systems. You will work closely with the Department of Defense to implement security controls and manage compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Information Security Office (ISO) and Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Monitor and analyze security alerts to prevent cyber threats and data breaches.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DoD security directives.
- Manage security accreditation packages and documentation.
- Train and mentor junior staff on security best practices.
- Coordinate with auditors and external stakeholders during inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security with a focus on federal environments.
- Active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or CISM.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
