Role Overview:
The Senior Information Technology Analyst will be responsible for analyzing complex business requirements, designing technical solutions, and overseeing project implementation. You will act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and successful delivery of all IT projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, and implementation of IT systems and applications to support state health initiatives.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Conduct system requirements gathering and feasibility studies to determine technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and technical specifications.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and developers.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and data privacy laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT project management.
- Proven experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
- Strong knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET, or Java).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
- PMP, CAPM, or PSM certification is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
