Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Optimization: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex IT infrastructure systems, ensuring high availability and performance for internal stakeholders.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Gather, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to generate actionable insights for department leadership, driving evidence-based decision-making.
- Project Management: Oversee IT projects from initiation through deployment, coordinating with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and operations.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce strict security protocols and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, State Regulations) to protect sensitive citizen and departmental data.
- Ticket Resolution: Serve as a technical lead for high-priority service requests and incident management, reducing downtime and improving user satisfaction.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage third-party software and hardware vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with departmental goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT analysis, systems engineering, or database management within the public or private sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar scripting languages; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and data warehousing tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex system issues under tight deadlines.
