About the Role:
In this pivotal position, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity and security of our county-wide IT infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that enhance operational efficiency for over 4 million residents.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain complex network systems, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, ensuring high availability and security.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and network issues for internal government staff.
- Project Leadership: Lead small-scale IT projects, from planning to deployment, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Security Compliance: Monitor system performance, conduct audits, and implement security protocols to protect sensitive county data.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or VCP are highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Licensure: Valid Arizona Driver’s License required (as government roles may require travel).
