Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software applications and databases for state agencies.
- Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cybersecurity protocols and data privacy standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff members and junior analysts.
- Manage project lifecycles from initiation through deployment using Agile methodologies.
- Document technical specifications, requirements, and user manuals to ensure knowledge transfer.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state information technology regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT systems analysis or software development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Experience with government IT frameworks and security clearance processes is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
