Metro Nashville Government is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Technology Project Manager to oversee critical infrastructure initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, for large-scale IT infrastructure and software implementation projects.
- Direct cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business analysts, to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Facilitate Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, creating contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders, including elected officials and department heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, preferably within the public sector or large enterprise environment.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is required.
- Proven experience managing budgets exceeding $500,000.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively.
