Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure solutions that support government operations.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Enforce federal and state security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and network assets.
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of new software applications and hardware upgrades.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, minimizing downtime for agency services.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and architecture diagrams.
- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers.
- Training & Mentoring: Conduct training sessions for staff to ensure proficiency with new technologies and security best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in information technology, systems analysis, or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or C#. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies is required.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving critical system failures.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal government IT regulations and compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, HIPAA).
