Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement scalable software solutions for state infrastructure.
- Lead architecture reviews and ensure system reliability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and technical specifications.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct regular code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage IT projects from conception to deployment using Agile methodologies.
- Ensure strict compliance with state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and federal IT governance policies.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks within ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, or IT project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Certification in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of database management systems, including SQL.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
