Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions and web applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of all government data and systems through rigorous testing and compliance protocols.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex system issues and provide mentorship to junior developers and technical staff.
- Conduct code reviews and implement best practices to improve system performance and user experience.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the implementation of third-party software integrations.
- Prepare technical documentation and present project status updates to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, system architecture, or IT project management.
- Proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, and experience with relational databases (SQL, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and DevOps practices.
- Experience with government compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
