Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize complex network infrastructure and server environments to ensure 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and federal information systems.
- Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, including software deployments and hardware upgrades.
- Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior IT staff to foster a culture of excellence.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or a related role within the public sector.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure preferred).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
- Proven experience with agile methodologies and IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
