Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our critical information systems and ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of enterprise cybersecurity infrastructure and protocols.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential risks.
- Analyze security incidents and coordinate response efforts to mitigate threats effectively.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for federal staff and stakeholders.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into daily operations.
- Manage access control systems and perform periodic audits of user privileges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 5 years of experience in IT security, networking, or systems administration within a federal or large enterprise environment.
- Active Top Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CISSP concepts.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, firewalls, and encryption software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting technical findings.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
