Responsibilities
- Strategic System Leadership: Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of critical county-wide IT infrastructure and enterprise software solutions.
- Cybersecurity Management: Implement and monitor advanced security protocols to safeguard sensitive citizen data and protect county networks from cyber threats.
- Project Management: Lead end-to-end IT projects, coordinating with cross-functional departments to ensure timely delivery and alignment with government objectives.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with high urgency to minimize operational downtime.
- Vendor & Resource Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party technology vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and performance excellence.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all IT operations strictly adhere to federal, state, and local government regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT systems analysis, network engineering, or software development.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or PMP are highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), database management (SQL), and modern programming languages (Python/Java).
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Government Experience: Prior experience working in a municipal or county government setting is a significant advantage.
