Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain complex server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive state data.
- Lead the planning and implementation of major IT projects, ensuring adherence to budget and timelines.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff and departmental users.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including GDPR and HIPAA where applicable.
- Document technical processes and create detailed technical specifications for system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or IT project management.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Valid Missouri driver’s license is required for occasional travel between facilities.
