Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of our enterprise IT systems. You will act as a technical lead, ensuring that our digital platforms are secure, scalable, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-life cycle management of complex IT projects, from conception to deployment.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to align technology solutions with strategic city goals.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local data security and privacy regulations.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize technology spend.
- Provide expert technical mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff and engineers.
- Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments to mitigate potential security threats.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical systems and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in information technology, preferably within the public sector or a large-scale enterprise.
- Proven experience in project management, IT infrastructure design, and cloud computing platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Strong understanding of government procurement policies and workflow processes.
- Ability to obtain a Tier 2 security clearance (or higher) as required for government roles.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
